Fido barks when the doorbell rings, and despite your yelling efforts, he continues to bark. Your guests open the door to be charged with Fido greeting them exitedly - jumping, barking, nipping and peeing a little. Once you get a firm grip on him, your guests take a seat. You release Fido - he runs over, jumps onto the couch and onto the lap of your friend. He knocks everything off the coffee table, spills hot coffee on your guest and couch, licks her entire face and pees a little more. Within a split second, he jumps down and into the lap of the second guest, repeating his version of "hi, nice to see you." You yell at Fido, grab him hastily, and lock him in his crate.
For everyone involved, this was a complete fiasco and extremely unpleasant. Most households with dogs have a variation of this reality. It doesn't have to be your reality!
I can help you! With reward-based training, I teach your dog to love being obedient.
